Lovey - Dovey Hair!

As we all know, the media has being portraying the idea of a 'beautiful woman' as something that is totally fake and Dove's efforts in fighting back the 'Beautiful You' image is worth complimenting. It's mission has always been to make women feel beautiful about themselves every day by inspiring them in many ways.
Let's have a look at this Dove commercial first before we start to analyze stuff:

Beautiful! isn't it??

The commercial begins with a small girl drawing a flower on a wall, which looks kind of imperfect (Figure 1), to which Dove says "Perfect This Way". It clearly portrays that you are beautiful and perfect the way you are. Followed by this Dove shows us stats (Figure 2) that says 4 out of 10 curly haired girls think their hair is beautiful (...and I am not one of them).

Next, Dove interviews young girls to see how they felt about their curly hair as shown in the above Figures 3, 4 and 5. These sad young girls depicts how they are upset about their curls and just wish to rip them off their head.

Figure 6, Figure 7 and Figure 8. shows us a small surprise organized by Dove to help change these young minds and make them feel great about themselves just like they are.

Here are the best shots from the video that shows the expression and reaction of these girls when they realize curly hair is gorgeous. (Figure 9, 10 and 11)

Finally, the commercial ends up with another statistics that shows girls are much more likely to celebrate their hair if people around them do so. (Figure 12.)

I believe Dove has done an awesome job to inspire the minds of people through this advertisement.
